Three differentiated worksheets that I made for a Year 5 class. The children need to roll a dice to create a number then round to the amount specified. Includes an extension task.
Can be used with a Year 5/6 class. Differentiated worksheet. The lower ability focuses on just adding the dashes or hyphens. The medium ability need to also state the usage and the higher ability worksheet involves creating their own sentences.

It was reinforced with hyphenated spelling words for the week.

Can be adapted.

Three differentiated paired games to practice adding fractions. A 1-20 dice is needed. The lower ability game requires pupils to add fractions that have the same denominator, The middle ability game involves adding fractions where denominators have the same multiple (changing one fraction). The higher ability game requires students to find the lowest common multiple before adding the fractions. Some answers will be written as improper fractions and pupils could also be asked to write their answers as mixed numbers.
Devised for a cross-curricular Antarctica/Extreme Environments topic for years 5/6.
Involves adding fractions, converting mixed numbers and improper fractions, and equivalent fractions.
The LAPS worksheet involves adding fractions with the same denominator. The MAPS worksheet involves adding fractions when a denominator shares the same multiple. The HAPS worksheet requires children to add fractions when denominators are different multiples.
Can be adapted by changing the fractions or taking out the second step problem.
I used this activity with a Year 3 class to introduce dividing with remainders. I set up groups of cubes around the room at different stations and the children had to move around and complete the worksheet.
I made this for my Year 3 class. The children have to use counters to find the fraction of the amount.
The lower ability found halves and quarters. The middle ability also eighths and the higher ability additional fractions.
I made these for a Year 3 class. I set up groups of cubes around the room as arrays.
The children had to draw the array, write the repeated addition and a multiplication to go with it- with extended activities for the middle and higher ability students.
I used this with a Year 3 class. I placed different 3D shapes at different stations around the room. The children had to go around the room completing the information for the shapes at the different stations.
There is an extension task if the children finish and a word bank.
This is a template I made for a Year 5 class when solving division word problems. It practises interpreting remainders, and writing remainders as fractions and decimals.

I used word problems found on TES.

Worked well for the middle to higher ability.
I made these for a Year 3 class. I set up jugs and measuring cylinders with different amounts of water with food colouring. The children then had to move around the different stations and complete the worksheets. Can be edited.
Three differentiated worksheets made for a Year 3 class. I set up objects with price tags around the room and the children had to go around the room completing the workheets. Can be edited.
I used this with a Year 3 class for finding fractions of numbers. I put different sets of objects on each table and the children had to work out how many for each fraction by dividing them up into groups based on the denominator then counting how many in each group.
The higher abilities needed to work out which fraction they were going to use
Contains three differentiated worksheets I made for a Year 4 class. I set up different shapes around the room and the children had to complete their table. Can be edited. Includes a word bank of shape names.
I made these for Year 3 class. I set up different scales around the room with different objects. The children had to weigh the object and write down the weight.
I made these for a Year 5 lesson. I set up the tables as shown in the pictures. There were four triangles and one rectangle for the lower ability tables, four triangles and one quadrilateral for the middle ability and polygons (at least one quadrilateral and two hexagons) for the higher ability. I modelled how to use a protractor and asked them to measure the angles on the starter activity.

Then, in ability pairs, the children had to measure their angles and write the angles on the table in whiteboard pen. They then chose two triangles and recorded their results on the worksheet, checking all angles add up to 180 degrees. There is an extension task on all worksheets if they finish.

Can be adapted.
I made these for a Year 5 class for rounding decimals. The children could chose which colour worksheet to try and they walked around the school finding the numbers that matched their colour then filled in the columns on their worksheet. The colours are in line with the new curriculum objectives for rounding decimals (Green- Year 4, Blue- Year 5 and Red Year 6).

It is possible to make more boxes with more questions if needed.

I made this for a Year 5 class for using prepositions to improve writing. We were focussing on Leonardo Da Vinci, so I used pictures of him, but can be easily adapted using different pictures or objects.

Differentiated by outcome.
