There is a PPT with equivalent fraction word problems on there so you can guide their understanding. There is also an activity sheet with a range of word problems and activities that challenge the children's understanding of equivalent fractions. There is an introductory PPT to guide the type of word problems on the activity sheet. The word problems challenge children's understanding of unit and non unit fractions of numbers. There are a couple of greater depth questions added too. The questions are modelled on White Rose examples from the Year 4 Mastery Overview, but are suitable for Year 5 and 6.
