An in class worksheet used for understanding moles, concentration and empirical formula. Best used with a number of reinforcement activities, i.e experiments.
This can be used as a good way of getting students to think about how they are perceived and their reality. How do they set realistic goals? The aim being to stimulate debate.
A presentation that helps students to understand that atoms are not lost or gained during a chemical reaction. Run the presentation and you will find some examples that can be done as a warm up activity. I start with Calcium chloride and then show how water is produced. It can be shown at KS3 or IB standard chemistry too. It can also be linked with moles.
