<p>This complete guide to grammar includes fifteen lessons and an accompanying workbook. The lessons start by looking at how to build a sentence accurately and then move on to more advanced sentence structures, punctuation and grammar rules. Ideal for teaching students from scratch but also as a revision tool. The booklet also includes writing challenges designed to encourage students to apply the rules they have learnt. I have used this resource with Year 7 through to Year 11 with much success.</p>

<p>This lesson (easily two lessons) encourages students to consider stereotypes in society, in particular gender stereotypes. The lesson includes examination of speeches with a clip from Emma Watson’s speech to the UN and engaging clips exploring the idea of gender roles in society. The lesson culminates in students writing their own persuasive speeches about gender stereotypes.</p>

Originally designed for AQA English Language however fairly generic skills which can be used with all exam boards. This resource is aimed at middle ability Year 9 students however I have also adapted to use with Year 7 - 11.</p>

<p>This resource includes PowerPoint presentation for two lessons, tasks levelled and differentiated, on the themes of autism and smacking children. This also includes resources in the form of newspaper articles to support the lesson. These lessons are effective in engaging students and I find the subject matter provokes lots of discussion and serious debate. Ideal for higher ability KS3 and KS4 students alike.</p>
