<p>I Can Use Place Value To Create Statements<br /> Five-way differentiated Place Value Activity for a Mixed Year 3/4 class.</p> <p>Lower 3s: Complete number sentence involving addition where options are given to balance the sentence.<br /> Middle 3s: Complete missing digit number sentences giving all the possible answers. E.g. _2 + _2<br /> Lower 4s: Given three number cards and missing digit questions including greater than and less than signs.<br /> Middle 4s/High 3s: Complete numbers sentences involving mixed operations.<br /> High 4s: Balancing equations with a calculation on both sides of the equals.</p>

<p>I Can Find Errors In Calculations.<br /> Given as Year 4 Homework in Week 6 of the Autumn Term.<br /> Contains finding errors in written addition and subtraction.<br /> Contains finding errors in how word problems have been solved.<br /> Challenge task to create their own calculation with an error.</p>

Given as Year 3 Homework after revisiting telling the time.<br /> Children are asked to write the time both on an analogue clock and digitally for daily activities such as eating lunch, getting up and for activities of their choice.
