Designed to promote discussion, team building and literacy skills for a study programme group, this pack of resources has proved useful for a range of classes. It is based on a team building exercise but has been updated for Functional Skills with information from Bear Grylls Born Survivor. It includes a card exercise, power point, writing task and discussion sheets. Students have to make choices based on a scenario and then explain their decision making process. Using the card exercise first starts the group work. This is a whole lesson pack.

These worksheets include questions that can be used for non-fiction writing tasks or revision to ‘argue, persuade and advise’. They can also be used for the Revised Functional English standards at L1 and L2. I have included a short initial assessment writing task too.
