For use in Design and Technology or History, this project booklet is laid out to follow the basic design process. The idea is for pupils to complete the booklet as preparation for making a Canopic jar from clay. Pupils are required to conduct an existing product analysis, come up with design ideas and be critical of their own designs prior to commencing the final practical making of the project.

<p>Aimed at upper KS2 learning about space and the solar system. Gets pupils thinking about what they would need to consider for a manned mission to settle on Mars. Best used after pupils have perhaps learned some basic facts about the Red Planet.</p>

<p>With an assessment sheet linked to the national curriculum criteria, this Year 4 project booklet is designed to allow for the analysis and creation of logos.</p>
