A ppt / lesson plan written for OCR B5b 'The Human Heart', but suitable for any KS4 lesson on the heart. A plethora of useful youtube links and links to heart games / interactive diagrams / animated walkthroughs, etc. I would usually include a blood pressure measuring practical with this.
Print out onto A3 and laminate, then place on desk in front of pupil as a place mat. Pupils A5 books fit in the central space and the words around the outside remind them of expectations, key words, spellings, etc.
I found this very useful with a Year 5 class.

A ppt aimed at teaching sets 2 and 3 the C2 2.2 content for the AQA Chemistry syllabus. Key words: ionic, positive ions, negative ions, giant ionic lattice, electrostatic bonding, electrical conductivity. I use this with an experiment on electrical conductivity in solid salts and dissolved salts. I also used two Pearson worksheets, C2- 2.2 b Identifying Ionic substances and C2-2.2c Using Ionic substances.
Aimed at the OCR B6h but suitable for any lesson on genetic engineering.

A ppt based lesson plan for the OCR B5a unit but could be useful for any lesson on the skeletal system. I would probably include a practical looking at the difference in strength between hollow and solid tubes and a look at some insect exoskeletons e.g stick insects.
