This our departments assessment tracker based on the 2014 KS3 DT curriculum and inline with levels 1-9 for the new DT GCSE. We use 1-9 assessment levels used across the school at KS3. We share this with students and they put them at the back of their sketch books we break them down for each project. Projects are designed to ensure coverage of the seven assessment strands each year and across the key stage. I have colour coded them to show how they could be used. This can be done with colouring pencils or on-line as part of an e-portfolio. I have included an examples of our project assessment grids to show how we break it down for projects. NOTE: Year the end of Year 8/ 9s write in their own assessment criteria, by copying the appropriate statements (bold text only) from their chosen assessment strands, between 2-4 strands per project. This resource could also be used with KS4 students (GCSE and/ or Technical Awards).
