A useful revision resource once you have finished teaching Medieval, Renaissance, 18th/19th and Modern Medicine! The worksheet contains 20 key individuals from across the course. Students have to match each individual to their description, and then to the correct date. I have also attached the answer sheet so that you can support pupils and go through the answers with them at the end. This can either be used in a Medicine revision lesson, or set as homework. To push students further, you can also prompt them to create a key on the sheet for the four time periods. Appropriate for the Edexcel Medicine Through Time GCSE course.

These starters encourage pupils to recall the importance of the many individuals across the Edexcel Medicine Through Time course. There are 8 individuals on each ring, and all 3 are completely different. These could be used as revision/retrieval starters/plenaries for Y10/Y11. These are suitable for when you have finished all of the Medicine Through Time content - but can be adapted to use earlier on in the course! There is a corresponding PowerPoint slide for each if needed, with an extension task. Simply print and cut in half, and you’re good to go!
