A lesson centered on analysing Lady Macbeth's power in Act 1, Scene 5 and 7. This was deemed an outstanding lesson and was regarded as well planned and ensuring that all students made progress.
Students will be given a selection of quotes that they must then rank in order, top being Lady Macbeth at her most powerful and at the bottom her least. They must then swap and evaluate each others work and decide if the quotes are in the correct order. Students must then return to their own work and decide if they need to change the order of the quotes or not. Next, they must minimise their quote and select a few quotes that will help them to answer: 'How far do you believe Lady Macbeth is powerful figure?'.
