This was obviously for my class, but you can easily change the names to the children in your class, as well as changing the labels on the carroll diagram to find out different things. I used this sheet with Y4 for children to record what happened when they put their hand into different temperature water, to name the parts of the thermometer and to do an experiment of the cooling and warming of water in a room. Hope it can help someone!

Activities for the higher group were to make a number line (using display border paper) and the word document below to complete the activities on it. I used this SMART board presentation then gave each mixed ability group various groceries and a laptop to look up the costs on the local supermarket website - I have used euros to demonstrate, but this could easily be changed to pounds...
