This lesson takes pupils through the basic facts of First Past the Post as it is used in the UK General Elections. It allows pupils to run a mini election to get to grips with how the system works. It feeds directly into the second lesson I have uploaded on the strengths and weaknesses of FPTP.

This is a full ppt lesson looking into the various roles of an MP in the UK parliament. There is also a worksheet. I have split it between parliamentary roles and constituency roles. The main task is the creation of a leaflet.
