<p>This SOW has been designed for year 7 students of all abilities. This SOW has been designed to promote language analysis and begin to explore a range of themes and characters in the novel. This SOW can be taught over a term or half term, the lessons are rather long which means that teachers have a choice of tasks they may wish to adapt/remove for the lesson depending on the level/ability of the class.</p>

<p>This SOW has been designed for year 7 students. The SOW explores a range of poetic forms such as ballads, sonnets, concrete poems and free verse poems. This SOW is an introduction to poetry preparing students for the necessary skills they need when analyzing poetry t GCSE level.</p>

<p>These lessons have been designed for a bottom set year 7 class. They can be used as filler lessons at the end of a unit or the school year. They may also be useful for intervention classes.</p>

<p>This resource has been designed for a mixed ability year 7 English class. The lessons have been designed with the new Ofsted framework in mind. This SOW would be ideal to use as part of a transition scheme for year 7 pupils.</p>

<p>This unit of work has been designed as an introduction to poetry unit for Year 7. The lessons can be adapted for any KS3 year group.</p>
