This PowerPoint contains >20 pupil sheets which can be used at any time in any lesson to help channel and focus ideas and stimulate engagement and action with the topic at hand. They have been developed mainly for use in the science classroom but the format can be applied in most if not all other subject areas. I have found it works well to give pupils choice in respect of which sheet they wish to use during lessons. I’ve also seen it put to good use when printed as a booklet and used for homework over the course of an academic year, pupils completing the booklet in whichever order they choose when summarising, comparing, evaluating the topic / key points covered during a lesson / sequence of lessons.
Choose from: Compare / Analyse / Evaluate / Distill / Reduce / Change / Describe / Explain etc…
With thanks to staff at George Stephenson High School, North Tyneside, UK for many of these ideas.
