A Level Music Terminology

(0)
Here is a powerpoint with musical terminology (mainly taken from the WJEC 2016 Syllabus) under different headings such as 'Melody', Texture', Devices', 'Harmony and Tonality' etc. The headings are colour coded, as my learners use coloured pens to analyse their set works. I have printed out these slides, 4 to an A4 page, cut them out and laminated them as terminology cards, and each learner has their own set. Myself, and the students have found this resource beneficial in many ways. We use them whilst analysing, whilst appraising, and when answering exam questions, as they pick out the key words from the question, such as 'thematic material', or 'instrumental writing', and the cards help prompt the type of answers needed.
