While marking, I was so incensed by errors in students' work that I made this for IT assignments but it can easily be adapted for any subject. The Proofreading Checklist can be placed on Moodle above a submission link. I made these into posters, A3 and put them in every room.
See also Common Grammar Errors.
In 4 A4 Sheets, this colour poster is useful as a starting point for Personal Statments for UCAS applications, both in Further Education and Secondary Schools.
Common Grammar Errors can be a tutorial demonstration. It also covers punctuation. I wrote this for my pet hates in ICT but it can be adapted to any subject. To be used with Proofreading Checklist also shared on TES. It is also used to improve the use of technical language in English or Communication classes.

Climate Anxiety Workshop - What it is and how to tackle it
I have created this PowerPoint slide show for tutors to use as a workshop or for any member of staff to send to students who express anxiety over the climate and ecological emergency. Read through the whole slide show and slide notes before you start.
There are videos for tutors to play from links in the slide show to open in a new window. If you don’t play all the videos you can have time for brief discussions if you only have an hour. If your group are already into it and like discussing feelings and difficult issues then allow an hour and a half.
There are links for students to explore further.
All the images have Alt text for blind and visually impaired students using screen-reading software.
The videos I have linked to all have subtitles and/or transcripts.

Tasks: Ask students to make a note of which of these techniques they would recommend to a friend their age who was experiencing climate or eco anxiety and why each one might help them.
Every slide could provoke a discussion. This would add to the estimated times in the notes below each slide.

A new slide could be inserted after slide 16 “What to do” if we have information about related groups they could join at college such as the urban gardening club, the Friends of the Earth course etc.

Please feel free to give me feedback on anything I should change or if you’d like to share it.

Kind regards,

Teacher Training/Class Discussion: Why do girls not get diagnosed as quickly as boys for Autism, ADHD and other neurological conditions that they are born with? How much is due to sexism and how much is due to differences in neurology of which we are ignorant? I also give tips on what to do about it in part 2 which has links to a lot of further resources.

A fun poster listing positive qualities of ADHD, quoting Dr Edward Hallowell “ADHD is like having a racing car brain with bicycle brakes. Strengthen the brakes and you have a champion.”
