These printable English resource writing activities are brilliant as they provide cross curricular links with History (The Victorians), ICT, PSHCE, etc. They can also be used for SATs revision. I have used them in a number of ways - as a carousel (few activities at a time for the areas already covered in English), as one of activity at the end of a unit, as SATs revision. Search on TES for similar activities for Ancient Greek links - Hercules

Quizzes to lessen the burden on teachers. So please relax while your pupils revise Maths for SATs.
There are 8 quizzes: Multiplication & Division; Time; Fraction; Measures; and 4 Mixed Problems. These quizzes last for no more than 10 minutes and may be used for revision, Oral/Mental starters, assessment, or as activities.
Quizzes/Videos may be paused at any point to allow pupils sufficient time to answer the questions.
Some suggestions on how to make effective use of these quizzes:
Allow pupils to work through the quizzes at least once while assessing. The Assessment fans are designed to allow children to self assess any of their work at the end of any task in any subject. The Enjoyement Fans are designed to find out if the children enjoyed the teaching and learning - if not make suggestions as to how the teacher could have made the activity more fun. Thereby providing children with a voice and allowing teachers to plan and teach in the style which will allow all children to enjoy and learn to their best ability.
