A lesson about choosing items for a time capsule to celebrate the diamond jubilee. First PP includes a timeline of jubilees and quiz asking children to decide what event certain items are for before introducing time capsules with task. Second PP (resources) includes worksheets and task sheets as mentioned in the lesson plan which is also attached. I used this as a year 4 lesson but is probably fine across lower KS2. Everything is dated - should be able to change the date. If not please comment and I'll post a date free version.

A selection of child friendly aliens printable on A4 with a PowerPoint including all the images to launch talk about them. Being used in Y2 to start work with similes.

A notebook of function machines to share with the class with addition, subtraction, multiplication and divison (one of each) and a blank for own machines. Also a page of three ability activities of function machines to solve. HA (hexagons and pentagons - Red) with addition, subtraction, mulitiplication and division with numbers up to and over 100. MA (squares - Green) as above but numbers upto 100. LA (triangles and circles - Yellow) with addition and subtraction with numbers up to 10. Fully customable to suit the class needs though.

PowerPoint containing examples of art from Alhambra, Spain famed for it's symmetrical art and architecture. Used with a year 4 class though probably accessible for a number of age groups.
