An exciting Escape Room experience for KS2 children, but enjoyable for older children and adults too. Children take 15 minutes to solve clues in mixed ability groups to unlock the padlocks and escape the classroom before zombies arrive. Clues can be easily adapted. Later, children write recounts about their experiences. An valuable team-building and descriptive writing exercise!

<p>After watching The Wrong Trousers, I used this as a comprehension then in a Talk for Writing activity in which children wrote their own set of instructions and explanations. Includes comprehension questions and success criteria. Ideal for EAL children!</p>
