Powerpoint I used for new AQA Biology GCSE with my top set.
Covers
1) key points about nervous system e.g. parts
2) the pathway of impulses
3) how information is passed along neurones
It then finishes with planning their required practical 7: Reaction times (ruler drop).
This covers A level AQA 3.4.1.
This is only a small of the specification, so will only take about 40 mins to run through with the class.
It includes a worksheet that the students can fill in to create a key word definition list and an activity to complete a table comparing prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells.

Writen to revise 4.1.2 cell division for the large focus in the 2022 AQA higher Trilogy paper 1.
Covers all topic by cycling through:

spec analysis

revision of theory

learning checks

past paper questions to consolidate.

I wrote for my higher set, but suitable for all that are doing the higher paper and/or can be adapted for lower ability.

4.1.2 is also in the GCSE biology paper, so good revision (though isn’t one of the major focus topics).

Writen to revise 4.1.1 cell structure for the large focus in the 2022 AQA higher GCSE Biology paper 1.
Covers all topic by cycling through:

spec analysis

revision of theory

learning checks

past paper questions to consolidate.

I wrote for my higher set, but suitable for all that are doing the higher paper and/or can be adapted for lower ability.

4.1.1 is also in the 2022 Combined: Trilogy paper (not 4.1.1.5 microscopy), so good revision (though isn’t one of the major focus topics).

Depending on length of lessons this will take more than one lesson.
