A simple worksheet where children find half of the given number. There are a few more challenging 2-digit numbers at the end. Children are encouraged to record whether they have used cubes to help them find half of a number.

Activities for 7 separate guided reading sessions on 'The Tunnel by Anthony Browne. These can be completed by the children independently or with an adult supporting them. The final two activities also require 'Gorilla' by Anthony Browne to compare and contrast.

This activity is to help children practise their mental addition and subtraction of 10 to any 2-digit number, building up to adding/subtracting a multiple of 10 to a 2-digit number. Each child has a copy of the 'juggler' sheet and the worksheet which contains sums. They solve the sums and colour in the correct answers appropriately. There are two worksheets, one more difficult than the other, but both produce the same coloured results on the juggler.

A notebook to use when first showing Excel spreadsheets to the class. This smartboard notebook shows children an example of a simple Excel spreadsheet. It shows labels for rows, columns, data and cells. It continues by giving instructions on how to insert data into a chosen cell, and where the writing will appear.

A simple frame for completing a book review. This includes sections to write about what they liked and didn't like, explaining what the book was about, and giving it a star rating. It may be used for both fiction and non-fiction books.

This activity involves reading an extract from 'Blessu' by Dick King-Smith and then writing down what the main character may be thinking. AF3 - deducing, infering or interpreting information from a text

Children access the spreadsheet which shows a group of children and information, such as eye colour, hair colour, number of siblings etc. They then answer the questions on the word document, using the 'sort by' function on the spreadsheet to find the answers quickly.

After reading 'Blessu' by Dick King-Smith, this sheet provides a scaffold for planning their own story in the style of the book.

This worksheet can be opened by the children. They can then insert relevant pictures from Clipart next to the type in bold. It is the story of the Three Little Pigs.

Show children the spreadsheet - ask them what they think it might be about (school dinners). Their challenge is to complete the spreadsheet correctly, using the clues given on the worksheet.

The PDF contains one word repeated many times in different font styles, sizes and colours. Children can discuss what is different and what effect it has. The Word document is for pupils to open and change the font style, size and colour to reflect the word.
