The mats are the command words and scientific terminology that can be printed onto card or laminated for use in the classroom. A PowerPoint quiz to check learning. I use it as a plenary or as a review the following lesson. I have used this with KS3 and KS4. The method can be give as a sentence sorter, or a 'quicker' sentence sequencing task. The starch test in a leaf worksheet has questions that students complete. This is useful whilst they are waiting for the leaf to decolorize.
