‘What do you know about your society?’ This quiz uses data linked to the topics of Sociology to get students thinking about the society they live in. Could be used as an introductory lesson for the Sociology course or a year 11 Taster Day acitivity. The questions challenge students’ preconceptions - and misconceptions - about society and provide a starting point for thinking about social inequalities. The quiz can be delivered via Microsoft forms - a QR code can be used for students to take part on their phones - and presented on a screen as students complete the quiz to generate discussion. Alternatively a paper copy can be distributed. All data is based on 2024 figures. Answers provided.
