Lesson that explores the character of Oberon in Act 4, scene 1 of William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Includes: starter activity where students mind map what they know already about Oberon, reading of Oberon's speech in Act 4, scene 1, quotation analysis grid that gets students thinking about focusing on key words / phrases and the effect of these on ideas of character and to avoid repetition in PEE paragraphs, and then a PEE paragraph writing task with scaffolded slide to help students structure this.

Suitable for KS3 and KS4.

I used this with my 7th grade class for Act 4. It was a great lesson and got the kids enhaged and thinking about the character of Oberon. I'm going to use the worksheet and writing activity for their final exam with a different character. Thank you so much it's a great resource.
