This lesson focuses on the second half of Chapter 8, analysing the battle of the windmill language.
Ideally this lesson works well if the students have analysed the battle of the cowshed language from Chapter 4 (see one of my earlier lessons). However, a quick reading of this scene again would work well.
After analysing the language students are guided on how to write a comparison paragraph (Designed to introduced some skills required at GCSE in doing this with poetry.)
This lesson is the 12th in my scheme of work aimed at a top set KS3 class.
