'ea' Word Maker

Children try to make as many words as possible using the letters. The teacher could cut out the letters beforehand to save time or let the children cut them out. The second sheet shows possible words that can be made which the teacher can use to prompt children. For differentiation higher ability children can find more and harder words like 'peace', 'grease' and 'preach' etc. I have positioned the letters so the left letters are the first in the words and on the right generally the end of the words. To apply the work children can write the sentence 'I eat at the beach'.
