TRANSPORTATION (ESL): Speaking, Reading and Writing Practice

Mini ESL unit about transportation. Students will discuss in pairs and as a class with two different speaking activities. They will learn 40 different vehicles through words and pictures matching. They will discover 5 amazing facts about skateboarding through wordle sentence formation. Students will then fill the blanks and read an article about the history of hot-air ballooning. The unit will conclude with a writing task.

►LEARNING OUTCOMES◄

GENERAL: Students will learn plenty of new vocabulary words through engaging and challenging activities. They will work individually, in pairs or in small groups to include variety in lesson dynamics.

SPECIFIC: While studying this mini unit, they will get their juices flowing while discussing about advantages and disadvantages of different modes of transport and by talking in pairs about transportation in general. They will also learn 40 different types of vehicles thanks to clear pictures. They will, then, engage in forming sentences to discover interesting facts about skateboarding. After that, students will fill the gaps and read an article about hot-air balloons. The unit will be concluded with writing task.
