"Living in Macbeth's World"

This activity invites students to explore the world of Macbeth through the eyes of fictional characters who might have lived during the events of the play. By stepping into the shoes of these individuals—stable hands, innkeepers, herbalists, and more—students will deepen their understanding of Shakespeare’s work by considering how its themes, events, and conflicts impact society beyond the central characters, through a range of creative, reflective or analytical written pieces.
