Environmental issues such as climate change, decreasing biodiversity, habitat destruction and pollution are huge global issues, however the thought of teaching them can be intimidating, leaving many feeling overwhelmed. Our Tool Kits provide a comprehensive, cost effective and easy solution for educators. They offer hours of activities, news and information that gently explains key issues and links to the National Curriculum.

Lions have been admired for thousands of years and are often seen as a symbol of courage and strength. They are also one of the most recognised animals on the planet, but sadly there are not as many lions left as you might think. Our majestic lions Tool Kit is packed with hours of fun activities to help you discover more about these amazing creatures and how you can help them. Before long you’ll be a lion expert…

Here’s what’s inside:

Discover what makes lions such awesome hunters and make a snappy jaw shadow puppet. Learn why lions are celebrated across the world and how they got the title of king of the jungle. Our eco hero card features Dame Virginia McKenna, activist, campaigner and founder of the Born Free Foundation. Our I Spy card will get you out and about searching for poop… you’ll discover what’s living nearby and there’s a recipe for yummy meat-free sliders. You’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to keep wildlife in the wild, there’s a lion rhyme to tell you a little more about these majestic animals, as well as a quiz to test your lion knowledge, a pledge card and 20 fascinating lion facts to wow your friends. There’s also 2 activity cards packed with eight fun puzzles so you can start becoming a lion expert immediately!

Activities include raiding the recycling box to make a recycled lion mask, constructing a periscope so you can slink around like a lion, there’s instructions for making your own juggling sacks - an animal free circus activity - and finally a recipe to make bird cake and feed the wildlife where you live.

There’s also a little something for grown-ups inside to help you understand a little more about biodiversity and conservation, as well as a useful glossary.
