Play is the way that children make sense of the world around them, explore situations, feelings and relationships. But what if we are living in such unchartered times that there are no toys or play resources to reflect our daily lives?

We are a not for profit organiation. A share of all sales will be donated to the NHS charity, the remaining will support the delivery of workshops in schools.

The creative team at ToyLikeMe have specially created the ‘My Little Lockdown Life in a Box’ project to enable you to play and create stories around life in the Covid19 crisis to help children process and understand why life has gone a bit… topsy turvy! Contains 50 pages of colour and cut resoruces to start conversations.

One day, children will tell their own grandchildren about the strange time when the schools shut and we all had to stay inside for weeks and weeks and not see our friends

This printable download contains all you need to create a paper version of your family members and a shoebox lockdown home. An heirloom to keep forever - it’s literally ‘History in the MAKING!’

Crack open the felts tips, grab an old shoe box and get the whole family involved. Colour, cut, stick and talk about what has happened,  how it’s affected your family and  build your tiny lockdown world just the way you like.

Send pictures of your creations to us at Facebook.com/toylikeme or toylikeme@gmail.com

Stay Safe, Keep Creating!

This project was created by children’s illustrator, Kate Read and ToyLikeMe co-founder Rebecca Atkinson.

My kids love this! Cut and craft your way through lockdown. A lovely play set for parents to share with kids trying to make sense of these curious times.

This is a fantastic resource to help primary school children deal with what is happening and talk through. I know many parents at my school will appreciate something like this and we will also be using these with the children when we get back to school. Thank you!
