Instructions for Teachers

1. Photocopy multiple copies of each exit ticket
2. Cut out the exit tickets
3. 5 – 10 minutes prior to releasing students from class, place an exit ticket on their desk, face down
4. Instruct students to complete their exit ticket and hand it to you on the way out the door
5. Mark your students exit ticket and keep track on the tracking sheet

Alternatively,

1. Photocopy multiple copies of each exit ticket
2. Cut out the exit tickets and place them in a box in the classroom
3. Hang on the wall the answers and the tracking sheet
4. As the students come into class ask them to choose their own exit ticket (must be different each time)
5. 5 – 10 minutes prior to releasing students from class, instruct students to complete their exit ticket
6. Once they have finished they can check their own answers
7. If they get it correct they can tick the question off the tracking sheet
8. If they get it incorrect they can try that question again next time or ask for help
