Here’s what’s inside:

Discover the different seasons and decorate a tree for each, our fact file will help you learn what goes on inside a tree and how it can be home to hundreds of different creatures. Our eco hero card features Wangari Maathai, whose movement sparked the planting of over 51 million trees, the recipe is for spiced apple muffins - why not see if you can count how many ingredients grew on trees? Our I Spy card will encourage you to get you outside in nature to discover which species of tree are living near you. You’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to save the trees, there’s an exploring nature card with ideas to get you on an outdoor adventure, as well as a quiz to test your tree knowledge, a pledge card and 20 fascinating tree facts to wow your friends. There’s also 2 activity cards packed with eight fun puzzles so you can start becoming a tree expert immediately!

Activities include a guide to getting outside an exploring amazing trees, we’ll help you discover how old a tree is and also how tall it is (without needing a ladder)! There’s also a selection of nature crafts to make including pine cone owls and stick people, we will get you a little messy by making your own papier mâché globe plus there’s guide to planting your own tree!

There’s also a little something for grown-ups inside to help you understand why trees matter as well as a useful glossary.
