This resource is designed and created to teach the following SNAB spec points:
1.2 Explain the importance of water as a solvent in transport, including its dipole nature.
However, activities and resources can be adapted for different exam boards and specifications
Content includes:
- The chemistry of water (Dipole nature of water)
- Hydrogen bonding
- Properties of water as a result of hydrogen bonding
- Exam questions and answers
- Links to real life examples in Biology - why is water important to living organisms?
Activities:
- Students watch a video and complete their tables accordingly.
- Water BINGO to test students on key terminology learned.
- Variety of pictures and diagrams to help visual learners.
- Links to over 3 relevant videos on You Tube.
