10 x BIG QUESTIONS! (part seven!)
These are designed to get students thinking about bigger issues, with zero preparation.
These can be put on the board for a few minutes to get students to think and discuss the question. Then the prompts and questions can appear to prompt discussions around the issue. Lasts 10-15 minutes usually, we do this once a week during formtime as part of the form programme of activities.
The BIG QUESTIONS are:
Which is easier - hate or love?
Would you rather lose all your memories or never be able to make new ones?
How do you measure success?
Does your name influence what kind of person you are?
Do some people have a sixth sense?
If a perfect identical clone of you was created, with all your memories, would it be you?
Do humans have souls?
Should there be a death penalty for serious crimes?
Does a banker deserve to be paid more than a cleaner?
Should we ban nuclear weapons?
Colourful and easy to understand layout and language make these accessible to all students and let all students participate in the theme.
