A tough sixth form quiz for students. A big PPT to download but will be worth it!
All rules contained on front page. There are 5 rounds.
- Connecting letters (last letter of each question forms the first letter of the first)
- Culture and Entertainment
- History and Politics
- Geography
- Connections. (all 10 answers form a connection - NOTE: You will have to alter slide 108 and 120 accordingly to put in your own History teachers. You will see.
There is also an estimation question which will give 10 points to the team with the nearest answer.
The joker can be played on any round apart from the first one. It will double the points for a round and must be played before the round by placing the sticker on the answer sheet. There are attached stickers that can be made by your reprographics department.
Each round has 11 questions. Questions 1-10 are worth 2 marks and the 11th question is a 5 mark gamble question where 5 marks are awarded for a correct answer, but 5 marks deducted for an incorrect answer. (with nothing happening if left alone) The gamble question on the connections round however is worth 10 marks. The idea is the kids have to determine whether or not they can gamble on playing their joker until the end round on the chance that they can get the connection or not. (Slide 3 has an explanation of the connection with a previous round).
There is some audio and video on some rounds, so have a test run with it first maybe depending on the quality of your ICT>
Good luck!
