This is a PowerPoint version of of the popular 24 game . For those who have not played the game is very simply, you have to make the number 24 using all the numbers given. It is a great activity for building mental maths and arithmetic skills as well as something the students love. It is a bit like an easier version of countdown.

… each question is starred for difficulty and there are 5 questions per slide. Thus it is differentiated for different ability pupils and has a total of 170 different questions!

NO answers provided… as there are often lots of different solutions and students love to compete each time with the teacher. It is good to do this activity together. Students love the competitive element.

The activity is particularly good for weaker groups who need to improve their number skills and primary age students looking to develop their basic arithmetic.
