35 slide PowerPoint of 6 science lessons which teach children how to identify whether an animal is a carnivore, omnivore or herbivore based on physical features of living creatures through investigation of dinosaurs.
The first two lessons focus on how we know dinosaurs existed and how fossils are formed. The skeletons of dinosaurs are then investigated to identify features which make them suited to either eating meat or vegetation, or both.
By the end of the unit, children will be able to produce a fact file about a dinosaur and write about it’s diet.
