Lesson 2 examines the role of the VSC and PEGI ratings in video games regulation, contains a quiz on the age certifications on video game products in the UK, and provides learners with a factsheet and task relating to Commonsense Media's guidance for parents regarding Pokemon Go. The lesson culminates in a mock Component 1 Section B exam paper relating to all of this key games industry information and the issues/debates which surround it.

There is continual reference to a number of set texts that are expected to be covered as part of the reformed 9-1 GCSE in Media Studies.
