A Christmas Carol: KS2/KS3 persuasive creative writing task: job advertisement by Scrooge

Resource includes a PowerPoint slide and supporting writing frame worksheet which leads pupils through a guided writing task, encouraging them to apply their understanding of Scrooge’s character and the types of skills and attitudes he would seek in a new clerk. Task includes use of rhetorical questions, sub-headings, bullet pointed list and opportunity to write in role. Children can have fun elaborating and exaggerating the harsh conditions imposed by Scrooge. Would also suit KS3.
