This scheme contains a half term’s worth of lessons for lexis, semantics, graphology and phonetics and phonology. Every lesson contains material to present along with example answers and mark schemes for both staff and students to use. The whole scheme is geared towards achieving a level 5 for AQA English Language Paper 1 - question 1 as it provides the foundations for language analysis.
There is a mixture of group and individual work and the majority of the PowerPoints are self-contained - this means you can print directly from them as opposed to having separate handouts. Each PowerPoint is accompanied by a detailed lesson plan which takes you through how the lesson might unfold - there is of course scope for teachers to take on the lesson however they wish.
