Acids, Bases and Alkalis

This resource pack contains 8 resources to allow a simple understanding of acids, bases, alkalis and neutralization. Students undertake a simple neutralization experiment and watch simple teacher led demonstrations. Students link their chemistry knowledge to everyday applications of neutralization. Lesson plan included, starter activity included, this should also be revisited at the end of the lesson to show student progress and allow successful consolidation of concepts learnt during the lesson. The main task worksheet accompanies the experiment and is differentiated 3 ways (access, should and challenge). The odd one out worksheet allows the teacher to lead a quick progress check during the lesson.
