Adding and subtracting 1 and 10 using a number square

This resource helps children to understand how they can use a number square to add and subtract 1 and 10. It has an information sheet at the beginning of each section to show children how to do this. This sheet could be shown on the IWB at the start of the lesson. This resource includes a selection of worksheets of increasing difficulty, some more scaffolded than others. It also includes a selection of task cards which could be used for plenaries, mini-plenaries, starters or given as homework.
