Adding and subtracting fractions using the ‘quick trick’ of the butterfly method (as seen on Pintrest). Excellent for year 10/11 pupils who still struggle with fractions. Also a good start before introducing algebraic fractions with low/mid ability GCSE groups. All examples and questions complete with answers.
