A fun bundle of resources that allow children to learn and rehearse the skills of adding 2 2-digit numbers without crossing the tens boundary. Two different strategies are modelled through 2 animated PPTs. Children can then apply their skills using a worksheet and fun, space themed game. The game has an IWB version included so that it can be modelled to the class before they play in pairs.
1) Animated PPT that models how to add 2 2-digit numbers using Base 10 apparatus to support.
2) Animated PPT that models how to add 2 2-digit numbers using arrow cards to support.
3) 'Spockbusters' space themed game for IWB that allows children to rehearse the skills learned through the PPTs
5) 'Spockbusters' game board for playing in pairs - you will also need coloured pencils OR counters/tiddlywinks
