African American Icons

Presentation developed from a smaller unit of work used in Black History Month.
Students were charged with researching and later presenting (ICT with a Powerpoint template) to the class details of a named individual who has made a contribution to the history of African America. The selection of individuals reflected the interests of the students, sport, music etc, this enabled an element of differentiation as some figures are clearly more documented than others. The students efforts have been collected and standardised into this presentation. 20 different individuals have been covered and the presentation includes paper friendly slides to facilitate homework or classroom display work. The whole presentation contains 23 slides with hyperlinks embedded throughout.
