These are 2 videos comprising of photos of animals found on 2 fictional safari's in Africa. I showed 4 minutes of each film and as they watched, my pupils recorded on a frequency table how many times each animal appeared. They then transferred the information onto a bar chart which showed data from both safari&'s on one chart with the bar for say rhino&';s in Botswana next to the bar for rhino's in Kenya.
I asked the children some questions on the data and asked them to create their own. A new way to collect data.

Lovely, my KS1 class will enjoy this. Many thanks for sharing.
Fantastic just what I needed to take my Year 2 class on safari!
