Summary of passage

Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician and computer scientist, made significant contributions to the field of computing. He was known for his incredible mind and curiosity from a young age. During World War II, he worked as a codebreaker for the British government, using his mathematical skills to develop the Bombe, a machine that helped decipher secret codes and aided the Allied forces in winning the war. After the war, Alan focused on creating a machine that could think like a human, which we now know as a computer. He also developed the Turing Test, still used today to determine if computers can exhibit human-like intelligence. Despite his achievements, Alan faced discrimination for being gay and was arrested in 1952, leading to his tragic death at the age of 41. However, his work and ideas continue to inspire and shape the technology we use today, making him a true hero and pioneer in the world of computers.
