This 26 page handbook is to inform education staff about a variety of different additional learning needs that secondary school pupils may have. This includes information on Pervasive Developmental Disorders & the Autistic spectrum, as well as going into detail on a number of different disorders including but not limited to ADHD, ADD, Asperge’s Syndrome and Anxiety Disorder. There are tips on how to work with each of these specific disorders within a classroom environment as well as general steps that you can take in your lessons to allow ALN children to perform at their maximum potential. Parts of this booklet would also be suitable to give to pupils as an informative resource. The information in this handbook has been researched from a number of online sources as well as from my personal experience of being a Learning Support Assistant since 2014 for children aged 11-18yrs.
