Amazing Anagrams 1 Extend Your Vocabulary

This presentation may be used as a starter or a plenary activity in a English or literacy lesson. There is also scope for it to be used as an enjoyable activity in a tutorial session. The presentation contains 20 challenges. In each challenge the students are presented with two “clues” with the caveat that the correct two answers are anagrams of each other ( for example ~ Celestial body STAR and music, sculpture and painting ARTS). Each challenge is also subject to an embedded 25 second timer to ensure focus and allow element of competition. If more time is needed the freeze button on the whiteboard will enable this. For best effect presentation should be on a large screen smart board. The whole presentation contains 42 slides and hyperlinks are embedded throughout.
